“Only the most foolish of mice would hide in a cat's ear, but only the wisest of cats would think to look there”
-- Andrew Mercer
After daily reminders the past couple weeks, this story is an example of foolish parents. Teaching children to lie for attention. Using the media for attention. Making false reports to authorities that eventually caused a major airport to temporarily shut down for attention. Very Foolish.
I think the whole thing is absolutely ridiculous, parents asking their children to lie. Wanting to be actors, look what being foolish has done for them. I can't believe they came up with such an idea.Take care, things that make me shake my head.
ReplyDeleteI like the quote, but hate the attention that the whole thing got!
ReplyDeleteFoolish indeed!
ReplyDeleteThat family does not live from where I live!
Hope you are feeling better today!
Take good care!
Margie:)
great quote...the whole scenario brings to light the foolish things that we as parents do...maybe not with all the attention this one got, but...sometimes i think parents live vicariously through their children, in very unhealthy ways...
ReplyDeleteHI TechnoBabe.. want to see how you doing? I like the quote too.. Its so true

Beyond foolish!
ReplyDeletemost things already been said, i do want to add; i love the picture. Did you match it with the quote, and the story? Both quote and picture make me wanting to think about my life, do i fly to close to the fire, do i hide in the cats ears? Or am i the cat that doesn't look in her own ears.....?
ReplyDeleteVery foolish indeed. There's no excuse for that kind of behavior.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous quote and a perfect image to go with it.
Thanks,
xo
I knew it all along in my heart that they were lying to everyone!
ReplyDeleteWhy would anybody be stupid enough to ask their children to lie - beggars belief!
ReplyDelete.... The parents should be sued extravagantly for being a national nuisance.
ReplyDeleteAnd the boy should be taken away from such dangerous (in the head) and irresponsible parents.
You're so right. It makes me wonder if it's a symptom of our media soaked culture. Of course, I'm not blaming the culture for the crap the parents did. It's all their fault. I feel so badly for the children. In my opinion, it is abuse.
