WARNING: PAIN

I said: I don't want to do it.

He said: Come on, don't give me a hard time.

I said: I said no.

He said: You are going to do it.

I said: It's too hard for me.

He said: Get down there and do it.

I said: See, it's too big and I'm not used to doing it.

He said: Lay down on your back and you will do it.

I said: I pay you for this. I do not want to go through with it.

He said: You won't get your money back. You might as well do it.

That is pretty much the last conversation I had with my personal trainer during my last session. He wanted me to lay down on my back on a huge exercise ball and follow his instructions on the exercises and I kept falling off the exercise ball. I had to forfeit the money I paid up front for a certain number of sessions with the personal trainer, but at that point I was happy to give up the money. My legs were so sore I could hardly walk out the door with any dignity. I saw that personal trainer at the post office a few weeks later and pretended I didn't see him. That was five years ago and I am not going back to a gym. Nuh uh. I'd rather have a Klondike Bar.

This is my Klondike Bar commercial submission post for Badass Geek.

  2. Hmmmmm, I kinda wondered a little too. Geez, where is my mind? LOL... no need to answer that. But hey, I understand about the personal trainer, not that I have ever had one, but going to the gym a time or two and I could barely walk for days!

  4. Aren't personal trainers just so much fun!!!
    You got out attention, haha!
It's breakfast time here, a Klondlike bar sounds good!
No, I guess I'd better stick to fruit and cereal.

Have a great weekend my friend and thank you so much for the lovely comment on my last post!
    You are so special!

    Hugs my friend!

    Margie:)

  5. It gets easier and the ball is a great way to exercise. Push ups off the ball are really good for core strengthening.

  6. Great post. You had me going.

Hey, I've got a nice little award for you over at my blog.

  7. You just didn't have the right trainer. When I first started the gym I held out for a woman, figuring she could understand my needs better, and I was right, except that I was already an old lady when she was born! There are very few elderly female trainers...

  8. Oh Lord girl, I was wondering too. we know our bodies better than the trainers. no is no. Good for you, now about that chocolate bar....have a good weekend.

  10. Personal training sessions are just too full of innuendo for me.

Klondike bars are much more straightforwardly gratifying.

  11. Ah, this is so funny TechnoBabe. It's taken a while but I've come to like the big blue ball.

Maybe you could become a wealthy entrepeneur by inventing the Klondike Bar system of weight lifting.

  12. Hi TechnoBabe,

How about a gentle walk in the woods?
Works for me every time. It's free too.

  15. Haha! This is great. It's usually how my exercise sessions end up...with Klondike bars or various types of chocolate. What a cool contest. I hope you get a pin!

  18. Oh, way to lead us on!
    Very funny!
And if my choices are a session with a personal trainer while balancing on an exercise ball or eating a Klondike Bar, I'd definitely choose the Klondike Bar.
    You chose wisely.

    All the best,
    Eileen

  24. Gosh, this post turned into a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I so like the comments.
Yes, I wrote this. Sorta took the pain I remembered from the personal trainer incident and tried to show how I would rather have an ice cream, especially a Klondike Bar so I would be eligible for the competition on Badass Geek. Thanks for all the good comments.

  25. I did not know where it was going either...

    He pushed too hard perhaps..

Everyone has a different tolerant for pain..

    Klondike bars are better.. lol

I do walking exercising with Leslie Sansome on Free Demand and I have a vcr tape of her.. easy and can do with hand weight... lots of kicks and such; not really walking; more like marching; but easy and relaxing too.

  32. Yup, Klondike all the way! It's not too hard and if it is you just let it melt a little.
