I really enjoyed this, birds soaring, growing in life. it was wonderfully written. loved it.
ReplyDeleteSo many possible takes on each line. Enjoyably different. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteLovely....
ReplyDeletenice, this one was a lot of fun to read. you gave just enough for our minds to be twirling...
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dave!
ReplyDeleteEagle. Argh!
ReplyDeleteSorry :-)
I like this so much and feel for the little one that mom has detached from who has to learn to test its wings. This captures those moments perfectly.
ReplyDeleteWonderful.
ReplyDeleteLoved it!
I can tell that you are loved
And you love - very deeply.
You really do soar!
YES! Minds twirling...
ReplyDeleteAh, the story of an empty nest. I know it well.
ReplyDeleteFor this brief moment, I felt the plight and flight of fledgling birds. It works for freeing the mind, as well. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteSimple and yet so complex. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteI love the terseness, the imagery - it would seem to me that is how it is for a bird to go from egg to air. And it put me in mind of humans, too, seeking comfort in the nest when things go wrong. Really lovely, TechnoBabe.
ReplyDeleteI know this is about birds, but since working with abused kids, I couldn't help but think of them.
ReplyDeleteI like this! Thanks. :)
ReplyDelete:) this is cute...so much said in such few words
ReplyDeleteI like that. It was very meaningful.

Nuts in May
YOU amaze me more and more
ReplyDeleteI love that.
ReplyDeleteYes, we are like that little bird, huh, and once we soar we never forget the feeling. Nicely written
ReplyDeleteHave you watched 'Legend of the Guardians'? It was an awesome tale about owls :)
ReplyDeleteI f#*king love it...it is exactly where I am at?
ReplyDelete"where I am at..." my New Orleans sometimes creeps out in my words...
Very nice...made me think of different things...learning how to fly...giving our children wings so that they can fly...empty nests..
ReplyDeleteThat poem is so clever and such a great rhythm. Writing from the point of view of a baby bird growing up and how it resonates for a human as well. Seems we have much in common with the animal kingdom as you have so eloquently reminded us here. All life on earth is precious and intertwined.
ReplyDeleteThis reminded me of that book "Are You My Mother?" Great memories there. Great poem here.
ReplyDeleteGood to "see" you today!
Your writing just keeps getting better and better.

Wonderful poetry Technobabe!
ReplyDeleteyour writing is incredible
ReplyDeleteAh, poetry. How nice. Poetry is always different things to different people. For me here, this reminds me of that stupid dove who just waddled along the ground in my backyard, hiding here and there. No interest in flying. He sure did not fit the profile for your poem here.
ReplyDeleteWonder what ever happened to that dove.
this is lovely, TechnoBabe..
ReplyDeleteand I could read it from different perspectives.. I like that.
That was beautiful!!! It makes me happy when I think of it in terms of real birds, but when I relate it to my kids...I wanna start tearing up!
ReplyDeleteLoved it!! You have such a wonderful way with words!!
ReplyDeleteThis was excellent.
ReplyDeleteI need to soar more often. For sure.
ReplyDeleteWonderful. I wish I could speak in one word sentences all the time.
ReplyDeleteI've seen that detachment; it fascinates me.I loved this.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool. I could feel it in my heart.
ReplyDeleteThis is spectacular! Wow!
