  5. I like this so much and feel for the little one that mom has detached from who has to learn to test its wings. This captures those moments perfectly.

I can tell that you are loved
And you love - very deeply.
    You really do soar!

  8. For this brief moment, I felt the plight and flight of fledgling birds. It works for freeing the mind, as well. Nicely done.

  10. I love the terseness, the imagery - it would seem to me that is how it is for a bird to go from egg to air. And it put me in mind of humans, too, seeking comfort in the nest when things go wrong. Really lovely, TechnoBabe.

  11. I know this is about birds, but since working with abused kids, I couldn't help but think of them.

  18. That poem is so clever and such a great rhythm. Writing from the point of view of a baby bird growing up and how it resonates for a human as well. Seems we have much in common with the animal kingdom as you have so eloquently reminded us here. All life on earth is precious and intertwined.

  23. Ah, poetry. How nice. Poetry is always different things to different people. For me here, this reminds me of that stupid dove who just waddled along the ground in my backyard, hiding here and there. No interest in flying. He sure did not fit the profile for your poem here.

Wonder what ever happened to that dove.
