Breathing in cold air sometimes gives me a headache. Sinus headache.
I cut the toe from one of Hubby's white crew socks (yes, it was clean).
I folded in the sides and sewed a piece of wide elastic I found in my sewing box.
Voila! My winter nose cozy.
It sounds like I have a cold when I wear it but I don't care. I breathe warm air.
I found the picture on Google. The one in the picture was crocheted. My socky nose warmer works fine for me but maybe next winter I'll crochet one. Or two. To match my neck scarves and hats. Stylin'.
Don't know if I could do the nose warmer, but I darn sure got me some ear muffs, this past winter. My ears get so cold they hurt.
ReplyDeleteCan you crochet me some to go with my caps?
ReplyDeleteoh yeah for sure this is the next big thing...does it feel weird breathing through it?
ReplyDeleteSo where is the pic of YOU wearing YOURS, eh?
ReplyDelete:-)
It looks a little like a pinocchio nose to me! Cool gadget. Oh and to Ms. A, I started using what are called "ear bags" that cover my ears and snap on. They work great, like an ear muff without the metal part.
ReplyDeleteThis post was a bright spot in a gray morning. Now I'm smiling. Well done. Nose cozies? What's next?
ReplyDeleteWell, more coffee, that's what's next. For me, anyway.
Genius!!!!
ReplyDeleteI would never have thought of that!
ReplyDeleteNever heard of this! But I hear you on coldness. The scarf doesn't quite to the trick on those bitter mornings. I like that - you'll have color co-ordinated nose cosies :)
ReplyDeleteIt's like a Snuggie for your nose!
ReplyDeleteThat kid's nose warmer looks a little too much like something else for me to wear it without taking some flak from the locals.
ReplyDeleteI can't take the cold either but my nose can take it better than my arms, my fingers, my toes etc.
My nose gets so cold, too! I wish I'd thought of this years ago when I worked in a freezing cold lab.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but I'm laughing so hard I can barely type! Necessity is indeed the mother of invention!
ReplyDeleteVery clever. That could become a "hot" item with the skiers where I live.
ReplyDeleteI got a chuckle from that picture!
ReplyDeleteBut if it keeps your nose warm, that's a good thing.
Great idea! You should sell them!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic. I can't wait to see your etsy shop full of nose warmers!hahaha
ReplyDeleteHa! Just like Pinnochio.
