Planking

This is a picture of my brother-in-law, Kevin. Isn't he cute? Oh, that's right, you can't see his face.

He is planking at four corners. He recently retired from teaching little rug rats for 28 years in the Phoenix area. He gets to play with adults now, so see what he is doing?

Good to see you enjoying your retirement, Kev. Thanks for the pictures. You can get up now.

  1. While I don't understand this whole planking craze, if he taught rug rats for 28 years... he can darn well plank if he wants to.

Plank on, Kevin! Enjoy your retirement, you've earned it.

  3. I love the fact that as we get older we get more and more stupid. :D It's one of the biggest perks growing up, we learn just not to give a damn what other people think anymore.

  6. Good for him, not sure about this planking business?, maybe I am too old for my own good. He seems like a fun guy. great job on teaching for 28 years.

  7. Yeah, TB, his arms need to come to his sides to be an official "plank." It's just another one of those fun fads that take over our brains now and then, don't you think? And happy retirement to him, BTW.

  12. I've seen several photos recently of people doing a lying-on-a-solid-surface pseudo-plank. I guess we've moved onto post-planking irony. Which is just as well.

  17. good picture - it a funny craze that is not going to make once it snows.

Our family has been to that same spot and still remember the kids pushing and shoving to be on the spot.

  18. Since I've never heard of this, is it a rule that it is done face down rather than face up?

  19. Yep, he's planking all right. I think the best part of planking is the search for unusual, new places. Who knows how far Kevin can get? Plank on Kevin...

  20. I just recently learned what planking is and it cracks me up. A friend and her sister made a few stops during a road trip and took some crazy-funny planking photos. I am anxious to do some of this myself!

  21. Looks like good core body exercise. I do planks with yoga. But not in the middle of town. Retirement rocks.
