Sundays In My City

Horseshoe pits are open to everyone to use. Perhaps one day we will be pitching horseshoes! This is perfect weather for a sweaty game of horseshoes.

There are batting cages in three areas of town.

  4. The horseshoe pits and batting cages look a lot like the ones at our sports park. It's been ages since I've thrown horseshoes.

  6. I bet you would meet some nice folks in your town if you took up playing horsehoes. Our town has an Italian heritage so we have several open Bocci courts and town events always include Bocci tournaments.

  10. I saw a horseshoe pit this summer with horseshoes all ready to be pitched. I almost knocked out a window behind me by mistake! Those suckers are heavy!

  16. Horse shoe tossing looks like a game I'd be excited about because it's so old school cowboy. But once I started to play, I'd grow bored, fast. I like the idea of horse shoes.
