Sundays In My City

Some of the flowers in our yard.

Some trees have begun to change colors but our flowers are blooming joyfully still. It will be interesting to see how many more months we have flowers to enjoy. All these flowers were near dead in little pots that the owner of the local hardware store gave me. I stuck them in the ground and they perked up immediately. We thank them every day.

Have a great Sunday!

  11. I have a gift with plants.

Not the one you may think - - - my gift is that I can KILL them.

Oh, I don't INTEND to kill them, but they just die.

The other day I saw a book about the plants even YOU can't kill - - - but, alas I've killed nearly all the ones in the book.

HOWEVER - - - I CAN grow Marigolds, a near relative of the Asters you show here.

WHOOOO HOOO for hardy plants that even I can't kill.

  18. Our marigolds have succumbed now but we have fall mums planted. It is nice to have flowers here just about year round.
