I kept trying to tell the nurse I have a tendency to do that. I'm a lightweight when it comes to needles. It's not the pain...it's the thought of a needle going in my vein that freaks me out. Glad you liked the haiku acrostic poem.

BTW, needles . . . not even remotely one of my favorite topics. The only time I "got used" to them was when I was pregnant. I don't which is worse-- The frozen garage door opener, the blood draw or the lack of caffeine all in one morning!

My blood draws are every 6 weeks (lupus) and I hate the not eating part. I don't mind the needles so much but that big rubber band-- Oy, there has to be an easier way. Fortunately, there is one of those old fashioned counter style diners in my doc's building so I treat myself to breakfast right after the blood work is finished.

Hope things warm up in your neck of the woods. I just started following you... and wonder if this is just a regular checkup that is the reason for the blood being drawn. I always used to look away when they put the needle in, but lately I've watched, and I learned that some people are good enough NOT to bruise, others are hacks, pure and simple.DJanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07152183871573797791noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713908623268184440.post-39321752633767570362010-01-05T11:32:03.860-06:002010-01-05T11:32:03.860-06:00I'm not a fan of it too and have not had to ha...I'm not a fan of it too and have not had to have blood drawn too many times. Some are very talky, and others just give an occassional meow. I would recommend one.
