Walking The Dog
A woman was flying from Seattle to San Francisco. Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sacramento. The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft the plane would re-board in 50 minutes.
Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind. The man had noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was blind because her seeing eye dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her throughout the flight.
He could also tell she had flown this very flight before because the pilot approached her, and calling her by name, said "Kathy, we are in Sacramento for almost an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?"
The blind lady said "No thanks, but maybe Buddy would like to stretch his legs".
Picture this: All the people in the gate area came to a compete standstill when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a seeing eye dog! The pilot was even wearing sunglasses. People scattered. They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines.
Note: This is a joke; it is not a true story.

HILARIOUS for sure. Oh my goodness. Can you even imagine?
OMG. This was very funny. Glad its just a joke. I wonder what all the passengers were thinking... LOL
Have a good day!:)
Funny how the brain plays tricks... at first I thought your post said "This is not a joke; it is a true story." LOL
And yes, that picture is definitely weird!!
(I never woulda thunk it, but the bird book seems to be the most popular item so far in my giveaway... I do know that I love my copy!)
Ha! I got this one in an email, but great to read it again.
This is so funny! Sounds like she had the last laugh.
Really weird!
I was wondering about the picture.
Now I know it goes with a joke...
I am trying to laugh here. Ha ha ha. (mechanically)
Not your fault, lady dearest. I have a more morbid sense of fun. :)
you had me on that one... it sounded real. I'll have to check out that website.
ha. that is too funny. yeah i might have as well....scary. lol.
Ha...you had me going there for a minute. That picture is hilarious.
How funny!
That would be funny to see the reactions!!!
I'm sure I would have done a double-take (if it was true). Very funny.
I hadn't heard this joke before, so it was a good one! And well put together too, I might add.
Odd!!?!?
Happy Sunday!
Too funny! :)
Funny! That would be an awkward situation, wouldn't it? Thank goodness it's just a joke. On the other hand, it would be hilarious to see the reactions. I love the picture, too!
Haha. That would be freaky!
And that picture reminds me of my neighbor. I posted this a long time ago, but she "walks" her dog outside her car window. She drives around and the dog runs beside her.
good story!
until I read one of the comments I was going to give you credit as author.
Maybe I should post some favorite old jokes from my friend.
Oh that is a good one! I hadn't heard it before... and I would have taken it for true I am afraid... joke is on me!
I was working once as a nurse, and the patient had a bunch of beer bottles everywhere. So I gathered them up to throw them out. Just then, of course, my boss comes around the corner for a surprise visit.
"Wait, wait - they are not mine!" didn't matter.
Perception is 9/10th 's of the "law."
That is a true story!
Haaaaaaaaaaa, too funny, because it's quite believable, too.
I just LOVE that photo..
seeing eye dog in one hand and a fifth in the other?
I can only imagine what I would have thought if I had been standing there in the terminal!
What a great story! And the photo, too. It seems to demand an explanation! Hugs.
LOL! You got me! Good one techno!
I once saw a Jimmy Kimmel comedy sketch where he and another comedian, dressed as pilots, were acting like they were getting drunk at an airport lounge. It was pretty funny.
Fact often follows fiction, though - a pilot and co-pilot were arrested for intoxication and removed from the cockpit of a plane in Florida before departure. True!
Very funny! I wish it was a true story.
you were right, I did need to clear my head and went on a hike just before sunset . It was fabulous.
and I also mulled over some things re my past , and got to a place of peace on some things.
I did a double take at the end there... I read the last line wrong the first time through. I thought it said, "This is NOT a joke; it is a true story."
Funny,either way!
Good one! :)
:) you are writing some deep stuff here. I am learning, that my 'pilot' is not blind either.
And i love the poem at the last post! 'so long sugar' i love that ending.
I believed you up until the the blind pilot line....good stuff........Hugs
Yeah, just like Unknown Mami wrote. I wish this *was* a true story. xo's
Just popped into your hubbies place and I'm blown away. What a great creative duo you two make. Mm.mm.mm.
That is hysterical! :)
LOL Love the joke and LOVE the picture!
I'm sure it is true! Or it will be one day.
Sx
Good one! I liked that.
A very cute story! Did you think of it?
I've often thought that if I could ever get a handicapped hang tag for my car, I'd love to get out of the driver's seat with dark glasses and a white cane.
lol...fabulous story.
Ha, maybe that is what I need for my dog. It does make for a great pic. hilarious.
Such fun to imagine, though!
"It's all done by computer these days, anyway." He could have said, by way of reassurance ;-)
Also I let out a yelp when I saw the picture, and was so greatly relieved "Ah, just a blind pilot."
Well, it may not be true, but it is hilarious! Loved it! Thanks for making my Monday just a little bit brighter! ~Janine XO
LOVE that photo! I'd love to know the story behind that one.
And a pilot with a seeing eye dog would definitely give me pause ;-)
Have a great week,
jj
For a sec I held my breath, can this be true?!
Thank you for the last line. and a good laugh. :)
What a wonderful story! Now if the dog was wearing goggles like Snoopy, the World War I flying ace, it would be a nice detail. You tell the best stories!!
LOL! But Lieutenant Geordi La Forge IS a great pilot! :-)
Did you read about the news that a blind passenger was left on United after everybody got off the plane? She was locked up in an empty plane? Unbelievable.
Love the picture! Love the post!
