Play On

Did you see that?
A deer took food from my hand
Neither one of us was shy
nature love photo frame Images
Did you hear that?
The birds are chirping
We wake to their singing

Did you smell that?
The lawnmower was working
And now the grass is growing

Did you taste that?
The firm juicy goodness
An apple grown in the yard

Did you feel that?
Your heart beating
You are in tune

Ready to play your masterpiece. Participate in your life. Fully. Completely. Joyfully.

What a beautiful poem, and so true. I can be so preoccupied with the past and the future that I forget to enjoy the now. A waste really.

Thanks, TechnoBabe!

So pretty.... I pictured tasting a luscious peach, one of my favorite fruits of all time. I will never forget such a peach that I had many many years ago in Italy... xoxoxo

the picture and words do make me wonder if we should have learned more from the Native Americans instead of pushing them aside.

Participate in your life! GREAT advice Techno.

I'm working on "living in the moment" these days which sometimes is easier said than done. So I'll print your poem out and tape it to my laptop as a reminder.

Thanks!

Beautiful. Too many people do not take the time to fully experience the natural world through their senses. Too much rushing around. This is awesome, as are you, Technobabe. I'll keep these words in my heart. Have a beautiful weekend!

i heard that. i felt that. i read that.
very good to meet ya. what you describe here is our connection to the universe itself, and finding ourselves through it. i write this, ironically, with headphones on and astroboy on the tv. the challenges are many in this world, but the answers, if there are any, and i believe there are, lie within us, as you show us here.

So incredibly inspiring! And I love your structure...see, hear, taste, feel...you wrap all the senses...and involve the whole person...in your masterpiece! Simply superb! I love your writing! ~Janine XO
