Did you see that?
A deer took food from my hand
Neither one of us was shy
Did you hear that?
The birds are chirping
We wake to their singing
Did you smell that?
The lawnmower was working
And now the grass is growing
Did you taste that?
The firm juicy goodness
An apple grown in the yard
Did you feel that?
Your heart beating
You are in tune
Ready to play your masterpiece. Participate in your life. Fully. Completely. Joyfully.

Yes, indeed! I want to star in my own life story. Great animated photo, TechnoBabe.
What a beautiful poem, and so true. I can be so preoccupied with the past and the future that I forget to enjoy the now. A waste really.

Deeper than I thought.
And more insightful!
But considering it's from you,
I have learned to just be amazed!
Thanks, TechnoBabe!

Beautiful thaoughts and so well said. Not to mention, an excellent reminder.
Just as I was reading this I was listening to the birds outside my window, sipping my tea. Wonderful picture, wonderful poem. Good morning on a beautiful day!!

Nice one, TB! :)
I love how you fused between nature and man with such a natural simplicity making them seem like they are close members of one family. Beautifully done!
So pretty.... I pictured tasting a luscious peach, one of my favorite fruits of all time. I will never forget such a peach that I had many many years ago in Italy... xoxoxo
Wonderful words to live by.
Beautifully composed.

Nuts in May
the picture and words do make me wonder if we should have learned more from the Native Americans instead of pushing them aside.

You should write lyrics for James, assuming that you don't already!

I'm working on "living in the moment" these days which sometimes is easier said than done. So I'll print your poem out and tape it to my laptop as a reminder.
Thanks!

Lately I feel like I am participating in everyone else's lives. Good reminder. Thanks, TB!
the simple pleasures are the dearest, aren't they... lovely thoughts!
This was beautiful. These simple joys mean a lot to us. Lovely words and a nice picture...:)
Beautiful. Too many people do not take the time to fully experience the natural world through their senses. Too much rushing around. This is awesome, as are you, Technobabe. I'll keep these words in my heart. Have a beautiful weekend!
Love the way your words paint a picture
i heard that. i felt that. i read that.
very good to meet ya. what you describe here is our connection to the universe itself, and finding ourselves through it. i write this, ironically, with headphones on and astroboy on the tv. the challenges are many in this world, but the answers, if there are any, and i believe there are, lie within us, as you show us here.
So incredibly inspiring! And I love your structure...see, hear, taste, feel...you wrap all the senses...and involve the whole person...in your masterpiece! Simply superb! I love your writing! ~Janine XO
Nice, I am ready to play at whatever is put in front of me.
I like it. There really is no other way worth living.
Yes! I can see, hear, smell, taste, feel that. So lovely. All of it. Thank you!
Wonderful imagery!
