Shapes and shadows...Interesting. Why not link this to Susannah's 'I saw Sunday?' You could find the way to her from the link I've just put in my post...
It was probably too hot. I visited England once in late May. It was cold every night. At it was the extreme southern end of England. That's why they can play tennis in the summer. In the US? Almost unthinkable!

Once before we were married, Fisherhubby decided to try to teach me to play tennis. First he lobbed the ball across the net to me and told me to try to return it.
I couldn't even hit the ball when I swung at it.
He got frustrated with that, so he told me to try to serve it across the net to him.
Again, my racket completely missed hitting the ball.
He came across to my side of the net, got right in my face, and said: "You CANNOT play tennis, never try again."

Nuts in May
After my Friday and Saturday, I wouldn't even be able to lift the racket.
for sure on the heat, though it is raining today and the high is only supposed to be in the 80s

I drove by our city courts the other day. Doesn't look like anyone has used them forever. I do like all the patterns and shadows of these shots.
It looks like it is just waiting for you to put down your camera and pick up your racquet.
Nice shots! Did you find a partner and get in a few sets?

The empty court like that can allow you to imagine the court getting ready for a big game, preparing for the hitting, running, etc.
I'll just sit here with my Coke and watch you play. OK?
I love a quiet Sunday with long shadows...
We have a tennis court in our condo complex and surprisingly, lots of people use it.
I was thinking the same thing as oceangirl..............way too HOT!
Cool! This must be the inter-net. ;)
Can you believe I've never played?
I hope you found a tennis partner!
the courts are open. We are getting a few nicer evenings so it might not be too bad then.

And I haven't!

As long as there's Pimms available, I'm in....:)
I play tennis every Sunday morning- unless it rains. Like it did today, boo hoo :(
Time to get out on center court!
