Since September Fourth 2006

Five years!
What can I say?
Except THANK YOU.

When I wrote the first post September fourth 2006, I had no expectations and no idea of what to write. Now blogging is part of each day, the usual routine. Nothing to take for granted or become bored with though. I have learned so much from so many people in the blogging world. I believe I am a better person today for it.

So......

THANK YOU. ALL OF YOU. From the bottom of my heart.

With much love.

So many people fall by the wayside after the first few months. I'm glad you're in it for the long haul!

Five years, wow, that's amazing! I have serious doubts I'll last that long, but who knows, I guess it's possible. I do know I've met some really wonderful people and that includes you. Congratulations!

I give you credit! I, too, enjoy the relationships and writing outlet, but have been way less consistent than you.

congratulations!

blueviolet, I have had to delete many blogs from my Reader as people stop blogging. We all have our reasons for blogging, and for some, they make the decision to do something else. I miss them and I wish them much happiness. Thanks for your encouragement.

Ms.A,yeah, whoda thunk I would be doing this for five years. Now I understand there is no end to the benefits of blogging. I learn and meet great people. Hugs.

Pseudo, yes I am consistent. I always say blogging is in addition to my real life, it is not the center of my life. I blog because I get so much out of it.

You have grown in so many ways, and a lot of it is because you've revealed yourself TO yourself on your blog. Here's a loving high five from your Hubby. You rocketh.

5 years? Congratulations! I think that a lot of the best blogs are those where the writer doesn't really know what they are going to write. Those which have a set purpose often run out of steam after a while, but "whatever comes to mind" blogs stay fresh.

Looking forward to another 5 years!

And thank you for the pleasure you give. I know how you feel. I. too, did not give myself more than a month or two when I started out. Keep 'em coming!

I don't think I was blogging then. Two years later maybe!
You've done very well. So many bloggers seem to give up after a little while.
Congratulations that your blog is firmly rooted.

Congratulations on five years of blogging, TB! I've been at it for three, and it has taken the place of writing for work and keeps me interested in the world. My blogging buddies feel like family! :-)

2006?

Amazing.

I'm with you.

I began over 18 months ago, and I look forward to it each day: I haven't been bored yet.

I feel it is such a gift in my life.

I read a lot about burn out,e tc., but not with me. Just to have my own space to write, will always be incredible.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Congratulations!! I have to agree I've learned so much from the blogging world too. I'm a very different person to the one I was before the days of blogging and a message board that I was a part of 5 years ago.

James, thank you for your encouragement and your love. Thanks for the high five for five years blogging.

Rock Chef, part of fun for me is not planning too far ahead; spur of the moment writing on whatever strikes me at the time is more fun. Thanks.

R.J., it surprises me that my goofy little posts are interesting to other people but I am grateful for the feedback and ideas I glean in blogland.

Dave, I have learned from your words and enjoy your art very much. Thanks.

Gary, thanks, Mr Pottery Man.

Brian, yep, five years. And it is still a blast.

Jeanie, I did not know I would open up so much in the blog but it has been healing. Thank you.

Maggie, you are an inspiration to me and I appreciate your kind words.

DJan, thanks. I agree with you about blogging buddies being more like family.

Empress, yes, blogging is a gift, especially when such wonderful people find each other and make friends.

5 whole years, what a milestone! I'm surprised you've been blogging so long because your voice is so fresh! It's been such a pleasure and a gift, getting to know you. Your story and point of view are inspiring and your spirit shines thru these pages. I wish I could know more like you in real life but am grateful enough to have come across you here...

5 years! Congratulations! I'm so glad you came into the blog world so I could have the pleasure of "meeting" and becoming friends with you.

Come to think of it, I'm probably nearing the 5 year mark myself... end of December!

Congratulations, Babe! Your blog is one of my great pleasures. And mine is only slightly older, since I began it on June 13, 2006. Blogging is as much a part of my life as email - I don't see how I ever lived without both of them, and the good friends I have made online.

Hello Dear,

Congratulation on your 5 years in the blog world. Well I thought the same thing when i wrote my first post and how would i manage the blog with writing since its so time consuming for me. But eventually it became so easier for me to just write what is in my heart and mind.

I am very glad that I have met you through the blog. It's my honor to be part of your journey of your life. I have learned so much from everyone & it's always good to read your blog.

Congratualtion Once agin.

Keep smiling and world will smile with you.

great to see/read that you stayed with it. Your blog is a favorite of mine. Too often I've seen bloggers just give it up. Nothing wrong with trying and blogging should be fun. BTW - A Few Clowns Short also started in 2006 but didn't really have many readers until years later. I'm glad you came along and became a follower of it.

Well, Happy Blogaversary! Five years! I think that's wonderful!
I too have learned so much from fellow bloggers, and it's been great to get to know so many people that otherwise would have been missing from my life.
SO GLAD OUR PATHS CROSSED!

Congratulations!
And thank you so much for all your good wishes and support.
Love and Prayers,
Eileen

Wow! Congratulations!!!! From time to time I consider putting an end to my blog but then I would surely miss everyone!

Regarding why I was able to do one last wash load... The machine initially began to nickle & dime me, then developed a pricey repair problem which would cost about 1/2 the cost of a new washer to fix & each wash load was a gamble in that the machine might quit any time- I was doing small loads, using too much water- just got tired of gambling on betting if the machine would quit - & the stores were having sales so it was time to "retire" it. On the other hand my very old Kenmore dryer still works like a champion!
