Another stubbed toe
Another skinned knee
Run to me
A bad day at school
A test with a bad grade
Come to me
A hard day at work
A missed deadline
Talk to me
Trouble with a spouse
Heartache and shame
Share with me
A doctor's report
Too much pain
Give it to me
I'm your mom.
Photo is called Children playing on Lake Huron found on google.

I love it!
Popped over from Joanna's. Looking forward to reading more. :))
The ethereal feeling of the picture along with the heartfelt poem are really good together. I am now thinking about my own mother now, long gone.
Fab photo and great sentiments there Tecno :0)

Happy Mother's Day Friend! <3 <3 <3
I love still being needed and wanted by my grown daughters.
Why do you do this to me? Now, I'm a sobbing mess. That was BEAUTIFUL!
Oh, this is so beautiful. It's a great tribute to all the good mothers everywhere. This stanza really hit home with me:
"A doctor's report
Too much pain
Give it to me."
She is always there, with her arms out, ready to take my pain.
Happy Mother's Day, Technobabe!
That never changes, no matter how grown up they are and how old Mom becomes. Thankfully!
And are the words yours?
because they are beautiful
Good mom's are always there for their kids!! That was beautiful!

gayle, yes we are there for our kids.
My mother failed me in many ways, as I'm sure I failed her, but the one thing I will say about her is that she's always been there for me. Even now.
You have done a beautiful job with this Mother's Day poem. I hope your Mother's Day is a good one.
I love it, Techno! And you found the perfect picture to accompany it. You are a genius! ;)
My mother gave her entire inheritance to my sister. I guess it was her strange way of showing me she had confidence in me as I wouldn't need it. That's what I tell myself anyway.
This is touching and soothing!
Lovely Mother's Day post, TechnoBabe. Nice pairing of solid love with the ethereal photo.
Love this! Thanks for sharing it!

Great post! Sweet sentiments.
I miss my Mom a lot, and often think of what an awesome Mom she was.
I was not such an awesome Mom.
I enjoy being a grandmother so much more!
I've been reading back here and really enjoyed it a lot.
The 'Rock Star' was unbelievable! 'Would love to see him in person. Enjoyed reading about your introduction to Cinco de Mayo along with your joke. And I'd like to hear your stories of moving around so much.
'A Good Neighbor' was eerie/fun for me.
Blue Balls, very cute title! I was wondering what I was going to be reading about! I actually have those balls and those walking tapes (TAPES, that's how old mine are!), and I actually still have a tape player in our bedroom, and I do them in bad weather.
LOVE bubblegum! Always have.
Vietnam was a wonderful post, and I would have loved to see that telephone/totem pole!
LOVED hearing your husband's songs too, and it's so natural you are with a musician having read your love of music and the safe feeling it gives you. He must feel like home to you. Very nice.
Thanks for all your visits to me!
All the best,
Eileen
PS ~ I sound like I'm critiquing all your posts by commenting on them in one place! I'm sorry, I'll try to visit more often!
And, ain't that the truth!
They say you will never know true pain and true love until you are a mother? is that correct?
Such truths in such a short piece! Loved this!
Otin, that's a good way to say it.
Eileen, wonderful comments. There's no rule about how much or when to comment. Thanks for stopping by.
Mama Zen, I knew you would agree.
Suecae, thanks.
Jeni, you know me, I keep it short but sometimes pack a punch.
this is beautiful and so true.....
And when they do, it's all the reward you want.
Excellent...most excellent
Oh. I just love this.
Love. Love. Love.
Very touching indeed. Happy Mother's Day!
That's a beautiful love story.
thanks for sharing.
Wow. Did this ever touch my heart. And your story of how you came to have her and know it was a girl and have her name picked out was so powerful. I KNOW that feeling. I was gobsmacked that I could EVER get something I wanted so badly - a daughter for my first child. It seemed unreal. What a blessing. Thank you for the poem. It's perfect. Happy Mother's Day. :)
Lovely! :)
Nice. Thanks for this because it really reminded me of my own mother's love for me.
