Only some things
cannot be replayed
the pain too deep
the memory too near
only some things
But other things
oh so many other things
come easily to the pen
softly remembered
So many other things
Some things still so raw
the tears still fresh
even of many years past
the gut recoils in spasms
only some things
And yet so many things
fly freely to the page
so much laughter
humor to be shared
wonderful things
But some things....

Some things, like this, are wonderful. Some things...just are.
i understand...
Beautiful poem, and yes I understand, somethings can be to hard. Maybe not ready to be put to words, but maybe some day. loved the post. take care and thank you for all your beautiful comments. I really appreciate them.
Some thngs are best left unsaid.
I can feel the pain in this....That pain that you just cant let go of...
i know exactly what you are saying...wonderfully said...
I love it.... you're a great writer.
You are so good at expressing what so many of us feel inside but don't have words for.
I love this poem. So much said in so few words. Hugs.
wow! deep, reviling and hypnotic ;)
Absolutely love it. And can absolutely relate!
Thank you for expressing that feeling. Well done!
Lost for words...
You speak the truth.
some things need music or a painting
I've read it three times because it's a stunning poem.
Wow - you are great!
Big sigh..... Sending virtual hugs and cheers for your gorgeous writing.

Yup. Some things are, well, just some things.
Poignant and moving. Lovely thoughts and remind me of moments in my own life.
Great to see you at my place. Intimacy is the right word for that haiku. Did you peak at the photo prompt? It was quite irresistible.
Some things are what they are, aren't they?
Loved this.
Powerful truths...beautifully expressed and emphasize with repetition!!! I not only love the sentiments, but I also love the structure of this!!! Fantastic!
Wishing peace to you and anyone, myself included, who have painful things to deal with. some of which keep cropping up when least expected..... xoxo
Some things will remain with me forever. I just can choose how much I wish to dwell on them.
Your writing is really wonderful
Now this was a post to which I can relate - fully!
Yes, some things are worth remembering, and some aren't. But it is almost as if we cannot choose and our memory picks bits for us, things we don't want to remember! : )
If only memory was more carefully selective and precious with us!
Those some things I saved for a completely new blog. One that absolutely nobody knows about... maybe that is an option for you too?
Oh baby, this was great! Yep, I'm afraid we all have those thing we push deep down that are just to painful to put down on paper. Thanks for so eloquently puttin' it into words for us.
Have a great day filled with beautiful blessings from above.
As much as I reveal about myself at my place, there's more I won't. I know the feeling.
I understand about "those somethings"....because they are always there.....
Wonderful poem and I loved how you ended it!
I'm late getting here as I've been on my computer very little since I got back from my trip.
I took a fall on the ski slope and need to rest my knee most of the day.
Be well my freind!
Be happy my freind!

I agree...some things are left unspoken forever, others are spoken of but only when it's time...
stopped by again, thinking of u today! hope you have a beautiful one! <3 Cheers!
It's always hard to express the deepest feelings - but great when you do..
Wonderful!! Truely!!
Some times I am surprised but what I can write about, and other times it catches me off guard by how impossible it is to put something into words.
thanks technobabe:)
this is so me, right now.
what wonderful sharing, after all we are all so very much the same.
i wish you all the best, with your things that won't fly so freely.
Lovely poem and I can relate.
"softly remembered" - I love that!
Some things just remain raw, no matter how much time has passed and defy the old "time heals all wounds" philosophy.
Really enjoyed your poem, Technobabe.
