Day After A Storm

The southern states are experiencing record high heat and fires. The midwest states are dealing with storms. We looked around our little hippie town after two nights of storms that knocked over our planter of tomato plants and threw branches all over the yard. There were lots of trees down, and here are some samples. Because the storms have been during the night, I slept through it all. And now the days are cooler.

Have you told us where your little hippie town is? I love it.

Goodness, you slept through storms big enough to take down trees that size? I need to sleep like that!

Glad the heat has broken, but gosh, it didn't need to go so far! At least you are okay. Were you able to save any of those tomatoes?

I hate seeing the trees destroyed, but at least you are finding a bright side in the cooler days.

I'm glad everyone was okay. And isn't it wonderful to be able to breathe again? We had two days of fresher, less humid air and it was like slices of heaven. Now the humidity is back :(

The combo of your weather report and term hippie town reminds me of the hippie dippie weather man that George Carlin did.

I love a girl who can sleep through anything :-)

Glad things cooled down and hopefully no one as hurt in the storms. It looks like so pretty strong winds hit your area.

Shows your conscious is clear when you can sleep so soundly! Glad you're getting some relief from the heat. Though it is too bad it's at the expense of the poor downed trees and your tomato plants. At least no one was injured and you are okay!

That's what I call seeing a silver lining in things, my friend. "And now the days are cooler."
Awesome.

Such storms are scary, but I always think God uses the storms to move the hot air away faster. At least that´s the way it feels down here. Glad your house was not hit!

Glad you didn't have too much damage. My husband and brother worked in the yard yesterday and then a strom blew through and messed everything up again.

Ack.. I hope there wasn't serious damage to your property.

It's nice and green there (sorry to get distracted so easily). I sleep through storms all the time, too. Mr.4444 can't believe it! :)
