The Spirit Of The Season

It begins long before the first frost -

Somewhere between memory and reality.

It touches us with compassion

and whispers to us of hope.

It tiptoes into our hearts with elation

and opens our souls to faith.

Its name is Christmas and we have yet to learn

How to keep it close for more than

this one brief, shining moment.

Someday, perhaps...with love.

If only we could learn to keep that Spirit for longer than the, "one brief, shining moment". Regardless, we can take what we have and learn to build from there. One stepping stone at a time. All the very best of the Season to you and your family. And may you enjoy a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year!

Yes, to stay in the moment is the key. Peace.

I think that you can have Christmas spirit without even being a person of faith. It is a matter of goodwill toward others.
