Trust

What is that feeling
The new nagging one
Who opened the door
To my heart and let it in

How did you do that
What magic did you weave
Upon my unsuspecting soul
You found my vulnerable spot

My eyes were wide open
Not letting anyone in
Keeping everyone away
A safe distance from me

Even my children mourn
That I would erect my wall
They knew beyond a doubt
I loved them to my maximum

With me for a mother
They were safe and nurtured
Something I did not have
But was natural for me to give

Was it stealth that let you in
Did you see my hidden need
How did you hear my cries
That were hidden even from me

Bless you, my dearest love
Thank you for being aware
I stand before you exposed
Gladly, joyfully give you my trust.

This is beautiful, it is wonderful when we can give that, and get it back. These words were looking in my soul, except for the children part. enjoy your day. I put up a birdfeeder like yours today. will see what happens.

it is indeed and one that is hard to give at times, esp when we have been burned by it before...but when we find it...it is a beautiful thing...glad you did techno....smiles.

This was great techno. I agree with Brian. Life gets beautiful when we find it. Without trust, you have nothing.

What a blessing there was a part of you who let him sneak in and capture your heart. I'm very happy for both of you!

this is just beautiful, technobabe :-) I like the idea of suddenly realizing that someone has gained your trust - gradually, gently.

This was wonderful, Technobabe. One of your best, I think. You show some trust in us by sharing it. Thank you

Once trust is gone, it is so hard to get it back again, or feel it again.

This is a lovely commentary on trust... the reciprocity of mutual feelings and respect... such a blessing to find and have :)

Ah, trust. Long to build, quick to destroy, vital for real happiness, and relatively rare.

You and your man are lucky to have found each other.

To be able to give as well as receive complete and total trust between two people is truly a rare and sought after gift. It is awesome to see this.

Big sigh! That is heart-felt and beautiful Techno. IT's not easy to trust, but when you find your soulmate, it's a whole lot easier.

Hope you and James are having a great weekend,

I remember hearing about trust when I was younger and inexperienced in life, but now I truly see how important, even crucial, it is. This was nice...

Beautiful, like you!

I took strange comfort from the phrase that it was natural for you to give safety and nurture to your children, although you never had it. This was my story too, and I've always wondered if perhaps I only imagined that it was natural for me to love my children, for how could I when I had never experienced it? But you have cleared that up as this is the first place I have ever seen that addressed and answered. Thank you. You are beautiful.

Beautiful post. Trust sounds easy but it's never as easy to give as it sounds. Congrats to you that you have found someone to gift it to.

Such an important elusive thing to have and hold. It's not just spouses either but friends and family too.

This has me thinking of 'Stand by me' and 'The Longest Time'.

thanks
